Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Lily! Mom and founder of Toy Swap Co.
The idea for this business came from my own life as a parent. On weekends with my stepkids, I often found myself scrambling for ways to keep them engaged without spending hundreds of dollars on new toys. One afternoon I drove around trying to find a library where we could borrow toys. The first one was closed. The next did not even offer toys. In that moment I realized how much families in the South Shore could benefit from something like a toy library.
As a mom, I know how quickly kids grow out of toys, how fast closets can fill up, and how overwhelming it feels to constantly rotate playthings. I also know the guilt that comes when toys sit untouched — money spent, space taken, and no joy being sparked.
Toy Swap Co. is my answer to that struggle. I created it because I wanted families to have access to high quality, engaging toys without the stress of ownership. I wanted to give kids the chance to discover, create, and play freely, while giving parents the relief of knowing they don’t have to buy and store every single toy.
This is not just about toys for me. It is about breathing room in family life. It is about showing our children the value of sharing. And it is about creating a community where play is fresh, sustainable, and simple.
